Wedding Readings
Ceremony Reader: Lisa LeBlanc (Cousin of the Bride) -
Lisa is one of my cousins from my dad’s side of
the family. I will never forget time we went sledding out our
grandparent’s and came within inches of taking out (or being taken out) by a
large tree. I think that was the end of our sledding adventure on that
particular occasion. Lisa lives in Florida with her boyfriend, Nick.
Ceremony Reader: Laura Zucchelli (Cousin of the Bride) -
Laura is another cousin from my dad’s side of the
family. Laura and I, and our families visited Disney World when we were
kids, and we had graduate class together a few years ago, among other countless
family adventures. Laura lives in Omaha with her husband, John.
Ceremony Reader: Jill LeBlanc (Cousin of the Bride) -
Jill is a fellow cousin and Lisa’s sister.
We have heard plenty of stories about our dad’s (who are twins) and their
siblings in their youth. The stories often seem far-fetched, but I’m
afraid many are accurate! Jill, herself, always has a funny story to tell.
Lisa currently resides in Omaha.
1st Reading: - Matthew 19:4-6
4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at
the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man
shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall
become one flesh’? 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore
what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
2nd Reading: - John 15:9-12 - Love and Joy Perfected
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you
keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s
commandments and abide in His love. 11 “These things I have spoken to you, that
My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment,
that you love one another as I have loved you.
3rd Reading: - Colossians 3:12-17 - Character of the New Man
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies,
kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and
forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ
forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which
is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which
also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell
in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever
you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God
the Father through Him.
